Challenges
& the goal
Launching a new agency meant first impressions were critical. Without a website, Big Baboons Studio had no platform to present its portfolio, communicate its creative edge, and appear in Google search results.
The aim was to build a bold and memorable brand identity that reflected the agency’s creative thinking through motion and visual play. At the same time, the website needed to showcase work and services clearly, strike a balance between trust and professionalism, and perform seamlessly on mobile.

My Approach
To set the agency apart, I developed a playful yet confident brand direction anchored by a distinctive name and a bold baboon logo. The visual identity centered on a striking red primary color and strong typography, creating impact while maintaining balance.
In terms of UX and UI, I focused on simple navigation, a clear hierarchy for portfolio projects, and subtle micro-interactions that added delight without overwhelming users. The site was designed mobile-first and fully custom-built with Astro, TailwindCSS, and GSAP, with Cloudinary for optimized media and Vercel for fast deployment.

Outcome
The result was a successful launch that established Big Baboons Studio with strong branding and a polished portfolio. The website stood out clearly from competitors, generated positive feedback from visitors and early clients.
